Cookie Statement

Last updated: 22 October 2026

1. Overview

This Cookie Statement explains how Themeasy ("Themeasy", "we", "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on themeasy.co (the "Site"), on the Themeasy Library at library.themeasy.co, on the Themeasy Hub at hub.themeasy.co and on our theme demos, each at its own address such as achroma.themeasy.co (the "Demos"), and the choices you have. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which describes more broadly how we handle personal data.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. We also use similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, and in this statement we call them all "cookies". They fall into two groups: essential cookies, which a website needs to work, and optional cookies, which we use only with your consent to understand and improve our websites.

3. Our approach

We keep cookies to a minimum. We set no advertising cookies, show you no personalized ads and do not track you across other websites. Essential cookies are always on, because our websites cannot work correctly without them. Optional cookies — analytics, which also tell us which of our own ads bring visits and sales — load only after you choose "Accept" in the cookie notice, and you can change your mind at any time.

4. Essential cookies on the Site and the Library

These are always active. Most stay in your browser's local storage, on your device, and are not sent to us:

  • theme — remembers whether you chose light or dark mode. Local storage.
  • themeasy_cookie_consent, with themeasy_consent_v, the version of the notice you answered — remembers whether you accepted or rejected optional cookies, for 180 days. A cookie for themeasy.co and its subdomains, so you are not asked again on each of them.
  • themeasy_name and themeasy_entitled — if you are signed in to the Hub, keep your account name and whether your plan includes the cloud Library, so the header and the Library do not flicker on your next visit. Local storage; signing out of the Hub, or clearing the website's data, removes them.

5. Essential cookies on the Hub

These are always active on the Hub. Its session cookie is shared with themeasy.co and its subdomains, so our websites can tell whether you are signed in:

  • themeasy_hub_session — keeps you signed in; expires after 2 hours without activity.
  • XSRF-TOKEN — protects your forms and actions against cross-site request forgery; same lifetime as the session.
  • remember_customer_… — keeps you signed in across visits, for up to 400 days, when you choose "Remember me" or sign in with Google, Envato or GitHub.
  • chat_session — keeps your help-chat conversation for 24 hours.
  • themeasy_cookie_consent, with themeasy_consent_v, the version of the notice you answered — the same cookie-notice choice described in section 4, shared with the Site and the Library.
  • theme — your light or dark mode on the Hub. Local storage.

6. Essential cookies on the theme demos

Each Demo shows one of our themes with sample content. These are always active there:

  • themeasy_cookie_consent, with themeasy_consent_v, the version of the notice you answered — the same cookie-notice choice described in section 4, shared with our other websites. On the Demos, the notice is part of the theme bar at the bottom of the page.
  • tdm-dock-collapsed — remembers that you hid the theme bar, until you close the tab. Session storage.
  • The theme's own features may keep small choices in your browser's storage, such as a notice or a popup you closed.
  • On the store Demos, WooCommerce keeps your sample cart (woocommerce_cart_hash, woocommerce_items_in_cart, wp_woocommerce_session_…), and the wishlist, compare and currency features keep their lists and your currency (woosw_…, woosc_…, wmc_…), only once you use them. Nothing you add there is ever sold or shipped.

7. Analytics and ad measurement (optional)

To understand how the Site, the Library, the Hub and the Demos are used — which pages are read and the general region visits come from — we use Google Analytics. Its cookies are set only after you choose "Accept" in the cookie notice; if you reject or dismiss it, they are never set. When you accept, Google sets:

  • _ga and _ga_<ID> — distinguish visits and sessions, for up to 2 years. We use the data in aggregate to improve our websites and to measure our own ads, never to show you ads, and keep it for no more than 14 months.

The Hub holds your account, so there we send less. Analytics never loads on the pages where you set a new password, verify your email address or enter a two-factor code to sign in, or while a member of our staff is signed in. The page address it reports leaves out the query string, except campaign parameters such as utm_source. Pages behind sign-in report a generic page name instead of their title, and we send no user ID.

On the Demos, Google Analytics also records which theme you are viewing and whether you open its documentation, the Pro plan or its checkout. It never records what you enter at checkout, and it never loads when a Demo is shown inside another website, such as a marketplace's preview.

If you arrive from one of our Google ads, Google Analytics records that your visit came from it. If you then buy and come back from checkout to the Hub, the Hub reads these cookies to link your purchase to your visit and sends Google Analytics the order number, product, amount and currency, so Google Analytics can count the sale as a conversion for our Google Ads account. We tell Google not to use this data to personalize ads, and we set no Google Ads cookies.

8. Managing your choices

When you first visit, the cookie notice lets you accept or reject optional cookies. We remember your choice so we do not ask again, and you can change it at any time with the button below, which reopens the notice. When you withdraw consent, we remove the analytics cookies. Your choice is shared by our websites, the Hub and the Demos, so changing it here changes it on all of them.

You can also manage cookies in your browser: most browsers let you block or delete them. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of our websites, such as signing in to the Hub, from working. Clearing a website's data resets your theme and cookie preferences, so the notice appears again on your next visit.

9. Third-party services

Some services we link to set their own cookies under their own policies, including Freemius at checkout. Our web fonts are served by Adobe Fonts, which receives your IP address but sets no cookies on our websites.

On the Demos, the Buy button loads Freemius's checkout script from checkout.freemius.com once the page has loaded, so the checkout can open over the Demo; your browser connects to Freemius, which receives your IP address, and Freemius sets its own cookies only when you open the checkout. A theme's web fonts may come from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address but sets no cookies.

10. Changes to this statement

We may update this Cookie Statement. When we do, we revise the "Last updated" date above.
